Rachel Agard was born in Nottingham, UK, and studied English and German at the University of Warwick, where she discovered her passion for translation. She has absolutely no background in numismatics, and actually came across CoinsWeekly by coincidence while she was living in Freiburg. Her flatmate was in the same theatre group as Teresa Teklić, who was looking for new translators on behalf of Frau Kampmann – and the rest is history. Now Rachel is living in the UK again (in Bristol this time) and FAMA is a regular client. And a good thing too – how else could she have learned so much about ancient history and obscure coins?!
